The ALOHA Spirit!

Aloha! What a great weekend we had! My husband had knee surgery this past Friday and we had planned to plant some palm trees, well as you know in Hawaii everyone is family. To make a long story short my brother and some good friends of ours came over with out any second thoughts or excuses and helped plant about 25 palm trees. I am so grateful for them! If that does not show the ALOHA Spirit then I don't know what will.

Word for the day: Turtle - Honu

A little more on the Hawaiian Language:

The vowels are pronounced: A as in father, E as in vein, I as "ee" in peep, O as in own, and U as "oo" in boo.

The consonants are pronounced: H as in hale, K as in Kate, L as in laid, M as in moon, N as in noon, P as in peak, and W as in always.

These are some pictures I took as we were coming down the H3. When we get a lot of rain we get waterfalls on the mountains. It is so beautiful!
